01 Who we are
Backdoor Botanics is a brand of Backdoor Botanics PTY Ltd, registration number 2025 / 786393 / 07, trading from The Atelier, Roodehek Str, Cape Town, South Africa. Our products are formulated at the OANA Regeneraceuticals Lab.
You can reach a human at bb@oana.co.za. That address is the fastest route for questions, complaints and anything to do with your personal information.
02 What this site is
This is an information and marketing site. You cannot buy anything here, there are no accounts, and we never ask for payment details.
Every buy button sends you to our storefront on Takealot. Once you land there you are dealing with Takealot: their terms, their checkout, their delivery and their returns process apply to the purchase. We are responsible for the product itself and for what we say about it on this site.
03 Who this site is for
This site is intended for people aged 18 and over. The products are personal lubricants for adult use. If you are under 18, please close the tab.
04 Using the site
You are welcome to read, link to and share anything here. You may not:
- copy the site or large parts of it to pass off as your own
- scrape, mirror or republish the content commercially without our written permission
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the server it runs on
- use the site for anything unlawful
05 Product information and claims
We describe our ingredients and how the formula is designed to work. That is product information, not medical advice, and it is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan.
Always read the label on the bottle and follow the directions there. Do a patch test if you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions. If you experience irritation, pain, bleeding or any reaction you did not expect, stop using the product and speak to a doctor or pharmacist. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are trying to conceive, or use a medical device or medication that could interact, check with a healthcare professional first.
Specifications, ingredients and pack sizes can change as formulations are improved. The label on the bottle you hold is the authority, not a page on this site.
06 Orders, delivery, returns and refunds
Because purchases happen on Takealot, their policies govern payment, delivery times, cancellations, returns and refunds. Start any order query with them.
If there is something wrong with the product itself, tell us at bb@oana.co.za and we will sort it out. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
07 Our content
The Backdoor Botanics name, logo, wordmark, photography, illustrations, formula descriptions and written copy on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Quoting us with credit and a link is fine. Taking the work wholesale is not.
08 Links to other sites
We link out to Takealot, to social platforms and occasionally to research and reading elsewhere. Those sites are not ours. We do not control what they publish or how they handle your information, and their terms apply once you arrive.
09 Availability
We aim to keep the site up and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. We may change, move or remove any part of it, including products and prices shown here, without notice.
10 Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, from information on it, or from a site we link to. We do not exclude liability for our own gross negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act stand regardless of this clause.
11 Your personal information
If you join the Aftercare Club we handle your email address as described in our privacy policy. That policy forms part of these terms.
12 Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms as the business changes. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes fall to the South African courts. Talk to us first at bb@oana.co.za. Most things are fixable with an email.
